HAITE Group opens S$95.3m aviation training facility in Singapore


 SINGAPORE: China-based integrated aerospace company, HAITE Group, officially opened its Aviation Safety and Training centre in Singapore on Tuesday (Apr 21).
  The HAITE Aviation Training Singapore facility will serve as a training hub for pilots and crew in the aviation industry.
  Valued at S$95.3 million, the six-storey building is equipped with the latest training devices.
 HAITE Singapore expects to expand its facility progressively over the next five years to its full seven-bay capacity, which would enable it to provide 50,000 hours of training per year.
 The Singapore facility will be the group's international headquarters and also the first major investment by a Chinese aerospace company in Singapore.
  It expects to attract a total of S$55 million in direct and indirect revenues per annum for the Singapore economy over the next five years.
 HAITE Singapore also revealed a new partnership with Baltic Aviation Academy (BAA), where both parties will collaborate to offer courses to commercial airlines in Southeast Asia.
  Singapore’s aerospace industry has grown at an average rate of 10 per cent in the last two decades and achieved a record output of S$8.7 billion in 2012, according to data from the Economic Development Board.
