The most EXPENSIVE Airport to "get to" in Britain REVEALED ~ Bristol Airport

GOING away is all-the-more stressful when you have a shoddy journey to your chosen airport....
Going on holiday should be all about looking forward to a week or two in the sunshine, but getting there can be a real bother.

There's nothing relaxing about trying to get to the airport. If you drive, there's parking the car and remembering where it is a week later.

And if you get a cab or take public transport, you'll be paying through the nose to get to the airport.
But do you know which is the most expensive airport in the UK to get to? Well, the answer might surprise you.

With a population of nearly half a million, Bristol is by no means a small city in the UK. Which is why it might surprise you to learn Bristol airport has been revealed as the most expensive in Britain for holidaymakers to reach.

A study of the ten busiest airports in the UK found journeys to and from Bristol Airport cost more per mile than any other.

Travellers heading for the West Country airport spend 50p PER MILE more than journeys to and from Gatwick and Heathrow.

This could be because Bristol airport has no train station, leaving passengers restricted to travel by bus or taxi.

The average taxi journey from Bristol city centre to the airport costs £22, according to the study by money saving website Voucherbox.co.uk
Voucherbox spokesman Shane Forster said: "More than 240 million passengers use the UK's airports each year and that figure is predicted to rise to 270 million by 2020 and a massive 470 million by 2050.

"Getting those people to and from their respective airport of choice is big business and it seems to be something of a lottery.

"Our advice to those booking flights is always to calculate the overall cost of your journey, including get to and from their journeys."

The cheapest major UK airport to reach was revealed to be Birmingham.

Stansted is the second cheapest airport to reach in the UK, with the cheapest cost per mile taxi cost in the study at £1.88 and the cheapest cost per mile coach journey at £0.25 a mile.

Londoners, who often face high prices in the capital including travel costs, have the choice of several airports and do have reasonably priced options for getting to and from certain airports.
