Airport officials say that a passenger plane slid off a runway at Bush Intercontinental Airport as it was taxiing towards the terminal Monday morning.
Federal Aviation Administration officials tell the Houston Chronicle the plane's nose gear slid off the pavement and got stuck in the grass. The incident forced the closure of the runway while crews worked to clear the scene. The incident did not appear to be causing a major disruption to flight schedules.
No one was injured and passengers exited the plane using stairs, according to KHOU. There were 167 passengers and six crew members on the flight.
