Aviation Word Of the Day - Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR)

In the previous post, we looked at one of the components of the black box.See here
Today we'll have a look at the Cockpit Voice Recorder. The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) typically plays the same role as the the Flight Data Recorder only with the distinction that CVRs playback every voice heard in the cockpit. This includes pilot conversations as well as radio calls transmitted  to and from the control tower.
Both recorders(CVR and FDR) speed up the processes involved in investigating causes of aircraft crashes.
Designed with extraordinary features and under the regulation of ICAO Annex 6 and ICAO Standard and Recommend Practices(ISARPS),Cockpit Voice Recorders alongside Flight Data Recorders are a mandatory element for all aircrafts used, or intended to be used for the operation of flights.
